My to-do list is looking much healthier now, so I’m a lot less stressed.
The list, in rough order:
- Ask Nishimura-sensei for a reference DONE! She’ll send it to the International Centre when she’s written it.
- Make a doctor’s appointment to get the medical form done DONE! Certified healthy
- Make another appointment at the International Centre (this will determine the deadline for all these other things… they’re rushed off their feet at the moment doing visas for the international students, so it might be a while. I hope they’re open over the break) DONE! Appointment next Monday
- Finish writing those damn essays Done! Though to varying standards. The application one is better than the accomodation, but surely it’s more important, so that’s okay
- Get ten million passport photos DONE! They’re really ugly though
- Pick up my transcript when it’s ready DONE!
- Remind McNeil-sensei to do my reference Done! Well, the reminding. We’ll see tomorrow if he’s actually written it yet
- HAND EVERYTHING IN
- DO A HAPPY DANCE
- Catch up on all the classwork I’ve been slacking on while stressing over this D:

hey!! Cool blog!
So are you going in August this year??? me too!! I’m running road2japan.com, its my blog about applying for and eventually going to Kansai Gaidai this year!
Where are you from? I’m from Australia and the process I had to go through was a nightmare! Pretty much had to apply twice. Only got 1 more form to hand in! mwahahaha!
Can’t wait, Japan fever hit you yet?
Jace
Howdy Steph!
NZ hey?? we’re practically family! … ok thats a bit far lol
Yeah so I just did some random speaking test at Uni, so now my japanese instructor will fill out her form and i should be able to submit on thursday! woo “DO A HAPPY DANCE”
How is your Japanese? Mine is TERRRIBLE!!! I just started studying it this semester and so when I go to Japan and someone fires off random Japanese at me I’m just gonna be like “Uh yeah totally man…”
Terrified of the exchange? I guess that’s the thrill huh?? Ever been overseas?
Ciao for Now!
Jace
Geez i bet ure awesome at Japanese! They introduced the Japanese subject the year after I graduated from High school – UGH! Missed out!
Yeah I’m excited! Actually, I reckon for me, the most exciting thing about the exchange will be the fact that i’ll be in such a predicament where the majority of people cant understand me and i won’t know where anything is etc. etc. I mean i generally find life exciting (or try to make it exciting) and this exchange will be like looking at a new life, in a new country, with fresh eyes. But I’ve never been overseas so this is ALL new for me. I mean i’m even excited to get into the international terminal here in Brisbane LOL
But yeah, it’s other student’s exchange blogs that keep my japan fever under control haha! only 4 months or so to go!
